The Great Egg Drop of 2004

The 2004 Egg Drop marked a radical departure from tradition for the La Costa Canyon Egg Drop. For the first time, students were restricted in the materials they could use, as well as the mass of their device. Only toothpicks and glue were allowed, and the total mass could be no more than 50 grams. Engineering skill, not scrounging ability, was now prized. Observe the results...

The calm before the storm... Why is everything more fun with a Homer mask on?
Students surround the drop zone. Some even want to capture the moment for posterity.
Some eggs survive... ...others, not so much.
From the drop... ...through the fall...
...to the celebration afterwards! Would you trust your eggs to these people?
